The official diagnosis was Polycythenia Vera. That is when the body produces too many blood cells. There are no symptoms until the body starts throwing blood clots, then it usually is fatal. Normal packed cell volumn for a dog is 40-50% and Fenja's packed cell volume was 72% which is extremely high.
